Each pastor listed with a church has his or her own profile/contact record inside theConnection. To maintain a pastor’s record if he moves from a church, theConnection prevents users from being able to change pastor names. Instead, what we recommend is deleting the pastor’s record as the contact for a church and creating a new record to add a new pastor to that church’s contacts.
To add the new pastor record: under Programs, expand the Church Ministry menu and select View Churches.
Identify and select the church whose pastor you would like to change. On the church's profile page scroll down to the Church Contacts tile. Select View More.
On the Church Contacts page, you can select the X in the corner of the former pastor's tile to remove the pastor’s association with that church. If you wish to keep the former pastor’s contact visible inside that church profile, instead of deleting his record you can select the edit icon on his contact tile and edit the Title to "Former Pastor" or similar. Then deselect the "Primary" checkbox. Then you can select Add Contact and add the new pastor.
To update a phone number, email, or address. Click on the pastor or staff member's name and go to their profile. Scroll down until you see the "Communications" tile and click "View More." Then you will be able to edit phone numbers and addresses.
