The Prayer Center in the Connection can be found a couple different ways:


First Way:


1. Click on Programs 

2. Click on Prayer and Personal Witnessing

3. Click on View Prayer Center 




Second Way:


1. Click on Get Connected 

2. Click on Stay Informed 

3. Click on Prayer Center 




Filtering for Camp, State, or International only Prayer Requests:


When you first go to the prayer center you will see the current day and a list of the prayer requests for that day. The default setting is "All," but you can filter for prayer requests limited to just your local camp, your state prayer requests, or international prayer requests. To do this, simply click on the "Camp," "State," or "International" buttons to show only those respective requests. You can also download the prayer calendar in either pdf or excel format by clicking on the appropriate button below the prayer request filter buttons.



Changing Between Daily and Monthly Calendar Views:


The daily prayer requests are the default view, but you can change it to the monthly view to view all of the prayer requests for each day of the month. To do this, click on the "Monthly" button in the upper right hand corner of the prayer calendar. Below the "Daily" and "Monthly" buttons, you will see buttons that let you "Manage Requests" and "Manage Calendars."



Adding Prayer Requests to the Camp and State Calendar(s):


1.  Click on "Manage Requests". Depending on your role as a member or an officer, you can add prayer requests for the camp and/or state level respectively. 


2. If you are a state officer, you will see the following options:




3. Click on the down arrow on the right side for the calendar that you want to add a prayer request to. 


4. When adding a prayer request you will need to select the length of time in days that you want the request to be active. 



5. Once you have typed in the prayer request, click the SAVE button at the bottom of the screen.


6. These special requests will show up on the daily view in theConnection and the GideonNow app but they do not show up on the monthly grid view. 



Selecting the Auto-Populated Calendars Generated by Headquarters:


When you click "Manage Calendars" you will be able to view the two current calendars which are auto-populated from Headquarters: one for your local camp churches and one for members. 




Also, on a state level there are two additional calendars, one for widows and one for officers.




To change the name of one of the auto-populated calendars in either the Camp prayer calendar or the State prayer calendar, click on the blue edit icon depicting a piece of paper and a pencil under the Edit/Delete column in the snapshot shown above. The red "X" icon is your delete button. Note that you can only delete calendars that have been added by the camp or state officer.


NOTE: If you add items to these default calendars or rename them, they will be erased and re-populated each month from headquarters. 




Creating a Custom Calendar:


From the "Manage Calendars" screen, you can create your own custom calendar(s) by clicking the "Add Prayer Calendar" button and maintain unique prayer calendars for your camp or state. You can also toggle the Active/Inactive button to show or hide calendars by making them active or inactive.




Once you click on the "Add Prayer Calendar", simply follow the prompts that appear on the screen. Remember to click the "Save" button when you are finished. 


Finding State Widows List and Other Special Calendars:


1. From the Prayer Center home page, click on the "Monthly" calendar view. 

2. Then click on the word, "State" to filter the monthly State calendars.

3. Click on the down arrow in the box on the upper left of the calendar to select the name of the state calendar you wish to view.




4. Once you click on the down arrow, you will have the option to select from the following state calendars: State Daily Officers Calendar, State Calendar, or the State Widows calendar.
