Per the Operations Manual, pg148 (online version):

• Bible: Scripture containing both the Old Testament and New Testament.

• Testament: Scripture containing only the New Testament (may also contain Psalms and Proverbs).

Are Bibles distributed or placed?

• Distribution: When a Testament or Scripture is given to an individual in an approved venue, usually en masse, it is “distributed” to individuals as a gift. Such groups include, but are not limited to: military, medical personnel, students, and prisoners.

• Placement: Bible and Hospital Testaments are put in an approved location (until removed or replaced), where it is expected to remain for the use of many people and remains the property of The Gideons International. Such locations include but are not limited to hotel rooms, hospitals, and medical office waiting rooms.

However, Placements in the Camp Goal Planner is a generic term for both Bibles and Testaments, distributions and placements.
